The Leary Firefighters Foundation 2005 Golf Invitational
Presented by MasterCard and hosted by Denis Leary and Bobby Orr, the Leary Firefighters 2005 Golf Invitational opened on September 19th in Mashpee, Massachusetts. This inaugural event included two days of world-class golf at the renowned Willowbend Country Club, one of the finest courses in Massachusetts. Other highlights included a private dinner reception and comedy show featuring the best comedians that New England has to offer, co-hosted by Bostons own Lenny Clarke. The proceeds from this event were directed towards Phase Two of the Worcester Training Facility, which features a state-of-the-art emergency operations center (a first for central Massachusetts) and a physical training facility. Thanks to the participants support, the Foundation proudly announced the launch of the Jeremiah Lucey Grant Program, which will provide grants for smaller uniformed fire departments equipment and training needs.
