The Leary Firefighters Foundation 2006 Celebrity Invitational
Presented by MasterCard and hosted by Denis Leary, the Leary Firefighters 2006 Celebrity Invitational opened on September 24th in Mashpee, Massachusetts. Participants spent two days on the green at Willowbend Country Club, a renowned course featuring 27 holes of world-class golf. Other highlights included a private dinner reception, live auction and comedy show, co-hosted by Lenny Clarke. The proceeds from this year's event were directed towards Phase II of the Worecester Training Facility, which features a state-of-the-art emergency operations center (a first for central Massachusetts) and a physical training facility. A portion of the funds raised were also directed to the Jeremiah Lucey Grant Program, which provides grants for Uniformed Fire Departments affected by the Hurricane Katrina Tragedy.
