The Leary Firefighters Foundation teamed up with Ford, Fox Sports and the Dallas Cowboys this Thanksgiving to surprise Dallas Fire Station 43 with a station makeover, along with the keys to a new Ford F-Series Trucks donated by Ford and a pledge to the Dallas Fire Department for $50,000 of new equipment from the Foundation.
With the northwest Dallas station run down after years of hard use, Ford contracted with local renovation experts for a whirlwind rehab. Starting offensive linemen from the Dallas Cowboys helped with demolition and final touches so the firefighters could prepare their Thanksgiving meal in a new kitchen and dining area.
“Today and every day we’re grateful to the firefighters of Fire Station 43, and to firefighters across the country, for their courage and bravery,” Leary said. “The Leary Firefighters Foundation is proud to team up with Ford to provide Dallas with much needed equipment and to support the men and women who risk their lives to keep us safe.”
