LFF’s Leadership Program Expands to Philadelphia, Newark

| by admin

This past fall and winter, the Leary Firefighters Foundation brought its leadership training program, led by MCS (Mission-Centered Solutions, Inc.), to the Newark Fire Department (in October 2015) and the Philadelphia Fire Department (in January 2016).

In October, the Newark Fire Department invited firefighters from departments in Belleville, Irvington, Millburn, Orange, Paterson, and West Orange, New Jersey to participate in the five-day course in Newark. In January, participants from the course held at the Philadelphia Fire Department were joined by members of the FDNY and Boston Fire Department.

Newark and Philadelphia were the third and fourth leadership training courses LFF has sponsored since January 2015. The intensive course provides a dynamic learning experience that allows these men and women the ability to more effectively lead and manage crises. LFF will be looking to sponsor additional courses in the Northeast and beyond in the coming months.
